Labisia sp. Turtle Back RARE Flower Plant Live Garden Home Plant FREESHIPPING
*Labisia sp. "Turtle Back"* is a unique plant known for its distinctive foliage and relatively low maintenance requirements. Here’s a guide on how to care for Labisia sp. "Turtle Back":

### Light:
- **Light**: Labisia sp. "Turtle Back" prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some morning sun or filtered sunlight, especially if you are growing it indoors. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

### Temperature and Humidity:
- **Temperature**: Keep Labisia sp. "Turtle Back" in temperatures between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). It prefers consistent temperatures and is sensitive to cold drafts. Protect it from temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
- **Humidity**: This plant thrives in moderate to high humidity. Increase humidity by misting the leaves regularly with room temperature water, using a humidity tray with water and pebbles, or placing it in a room with a humidifier. Aim to maintain humidity levels above 50%.

### Watering:
- **Watering**: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch (2.5 cm) of soil feels dry. Adjust watering frequency based on environmental conditions; water more frequently during warmer months and reduce in winter when growth slows down.

### Soil:
- **Soil**: Use a well-draining, peat-based potting mix. A mixture of peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark or a potting mix formulated for tropical plants works well. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.

### Fertilizing:
- **Fertilizing**: Feed Labisia sp. "Turtle Back" with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half-strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter when growth slows down.

### Potting and Repotting:
- **Potting**: Choose a pot with good drainage that is slightly larger than the current root ball. Repot Labisia sp. "Turtle Back" every 1-2 years in spring if it becomes root-bound or outgrows its pot. Use fresh potting mix during repotting.

### Pruning and Maintenance:
- **Pruning**: Trim any yellow or dead leaves regularly to maintain the plant's appearance and encourage new growth.
- **Pests**: Monitor for pests such as spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. Treat infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.

### Propagation:
- **Propagation**: Labisia sp. "Turtle Back" can be propagated by division or stem cuttings. Divisions should have both roots and shoots, while stem cuttings should be taken from healthy, non-flowering shoots. Plant divisions or cuttings in pots with moist potting mix and keep them warm and humid until established.

### Winter Care:
- **Winter Care**: Reduce watering frequency in winter when growth slows down. Protect Labisia sp. "Turtle Back" from cold drafts and maintain consistent humidity levels. Adjust its location if needed to ensure it gets sufficient light without being exposed to cold temperatures.

By following these care guidelines, you can ensure that your Labisia sp. "Turtle Back" remains healthy and continues to thrive with its unique foliage in your indoor or outdoor garden.
