PALE EVENING PRIMROSE A great little night blooming perennial that has a strong scent of almonds. Also known as White Buttercup or Sundrops.This is a hard working plant. Easy to grow from seed. Will start blooming 8-10 weeks after sprouting. Full sun or partial sun. Not real picky about soils.Doesn't do well in extended soggy conditions.This is a long lived,tough as nails plant that has a extensive root system making it very drought tolerant and a excellent choice for erosion control.Only gets about 12" tall but spreads out sideways via the root system.This strain of primrose also does well in containers.The flowers open in the evening and where thought to be phosphorescent because of there bright glow. Used to line walk ways to help see the path at night. Blooms continuously from early summer through fall. The flowers are short lived so don't make very good cut flowers.
