tigridia is one of the worlds most spectacular flowers with eye popping displays of brilliant, three-petaled, very large, orchid-like, 3" to 6" wide flowers in red, pink, orange, yellow or white with a contrasting rainbow of, tiger spotted centers. fantastic. each flower only blooms for a day but more will come in the following days, like the way day lilies bloom. they are only hardy in zones 8 thru10 so if you live in a cooler climate, dig and store them indoors like you would dahlias. the seeds will grow a bulb and will bloom in their second or third year.
